At Colonial Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care in Sugar Land, we love our seniors! All of our staff has years of experience in assisted living, dementia care or Alzheimer’s care. We understand the stress a family experiences when they are making difficult decisions for a loved one who has dementia, or Alzheimer’s or who just needs the extra help and support an assisted living family can provide.
Colonial Oaks offers a wide variety of activities to engage every resident and stimulate their mind and memory. Our Rhythm of the Day® program provides a wonderful environment for our memory care residents. Colonial Oaks’ primary referral source is the family members of our residents. We are very proud of that. To get more information about our philosophy of care for dementia, Alzheimer’s, and memory care residents, or to inquire about our assisted living facility, call Colonial Oaks in Sugar Land today.
Executive Director – Clarissa Woods
Clarissa Woods takes pride in saying she’s been a caregiver since she was nine years old and cared for two aging great aunts. Her career in senior care started over 25 years ago when she began her journey caring for seniors in an assisted living community. Eight years later, she was overseeing resident care in 32 assisted living communities across the U.S. Then, in 2002, she joined Colonial Oaks as Executive Director.
Clarissa believes each senior is unique and that age does not define an individual. She leads her staff by example, instilling in them a heartfelt desire to serve residents with love and respect.
Community Relations Director – Kim Hinojosa
Kim Hinojosa relates to senior care from both a family’s and a professional’s perspective. For eight years she was responsible for making care decisions for her grandmother and toured many communities, including Colonial Oaks. The connection to Colonial Oaks resulted in her becoming Community Relations Director in 2002.
Kim is the primary resource that physicians, case managers, churches, and families rely on for guidance in understanding senior care options. Kim continues to draw on her unique understanding of the caregiving journey. She strives to educate families and guide them in making decisions that will bring them peace of mind.
